Tony Fazio Receives State and National Accolades as He Takes the Helm as President of the American Association of Political Consultants

Winning Directions founder and President Tony Fazio continues to garner acclaim as he takes the reins as the new President of the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC).

In addition to official Certificates of Recognition from the California State Legislature and from the United States Congress for "outstanding and invaluable service," Fazio has also received personal congratulations from a number of state and federal officials.

"Your integrity, professionalism and compassion have earned you the respect of those who know you and admire your work," wrote U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein. "From your commitment to the mission of the AAPC to your outstanding leadership at Winning Directions, you are an inspiration to us all. You are truly a wonderful tribute to the political consulting profession and the entire State of California."

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi's personal note said, "Congratulations on being elected to serve as the President of the American Association of Political Consultants. ... I have confidence that your leadership will raise the standards and ethical conduct of all those involved in the political process."

Fazio was elected to lead the 1,400-member bipartisan organization at the AAPC's February national conference. His two-year term as President runs through 2009.
