Nancy Todd Joins Forces with Winning Directions

Nancy Todd, recognized as America's leading political consultant on gaming issues and related development, has become a Senior Strategic Consultant with the country's top political direct mail and messaging firm, Winning Directions. The firm, with offices in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Boston, has recently opened a Las Vegas branch.

Ms. Todd currently works with governments and entities abroad that want to expand or add gaming to their country. She also authors a monthly column for Casino Journal titled "The Politics of Gaming."

Nancy was among the first people to recognize that the dramatic growth of traditional gaming venues and the emergence of the Internet as a force in the gaming industry would require specialized strategies to assist the industry in dealing with new regulatory and political challenges. This has led her to focus for the past 15 years exclusively on local, state and federal gaming issues as these new challenges have emerged and matured.

A Louisiana native who cut her teeth on the rough-and-tumble politics of the Bayou State, Ms. Todd is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana and attended LSU law school. During her career as a consultant to more than 200 campaigns in 46 states and six countries, Ms. Todd has compiled a winning record of 98 percent.

In 1995, Ms. Todd helped complete a successful hostile takeover of a rural electric cooperative in Louisiana, the first such takeover in the country. She has since represented a growing number of corporate clients in shareholder education efforts and successful corporate governance fights.

Nancy is Chairman of the Board of the American Association of Political Consultants and serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Political Consultants. She is a frequent speaker both nationally and internationally for governments, regulatory bodies and major universities, including Harvard, the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Georgetown University, Vanderbilt and George Washington University.
