Winning Directions — the Most Honored Political Direct Mail Firm in the Nation — Wins Peer Recognition Again for Best Democratic Direct Mail Campaign of 2006

The Winning Directions, the most honored strategic direct mail firm in the country over the past five years, scored again at this year's Pollie awards ceremony, held by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) to recognize the best in the industry.

At the February awards ceremony, part of the AAPC's annual conference held this year in Miami Beach, judges awarded the Gold Pollie for the Best Democratic Direct Mail Campaign of 2006 to Winning Directions' work on behalf of the American Hunters & Shooters Association (AHSA). Winning Directions' direct mail effort sparked substantial favorable news coverage for AHSA, and newly elected Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri has cited the AHSA direct mail campaign as a key to her narrow victory over incumbent Jim Talent last November.

In addition to its work for AHSA, the AAPC honored Winning Directions' direct mail with Pollies for a number of the firm's other 2006 political communication efforts, including its outstanding work for the Ohio Democratic Party, the San Mateo County Central Labor Council, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW).
